How far along? will be 23 weeks tomorrow
Total weight gain/loss: 21lbs
Maternity clothes? yes & no. bought some (mostly pants) but haven't really had the urge to wear them since i've been living in leggings. it's sad that i can no longer fit my designer clothes though.
Stretch marks? very little. i had some from my first pregnancy but using pure cocoa butter has helped tremendously(perks of working as a cosmetic chemist; i got this raw material in pure form).
Symptoms: fatigue & minor nausea in the first trimester. now i'm brimming with energy. hopefully this will last longer into my last trimester *crossing fingers*
Sleep: waking up frequently (2-4 times night to pee & check on toddler). it's a mom thing. you never really 'sleep' through the night after having a baby since you're constantly worrying if baby is snug underneath his blanket or if he's sleeping in an awkward position or...
Best moment this week: having hubby home for 2 weeks and helping me out with daily routine stuff (feed baby, walk dog, put him down for naps...)
Have you told family and friends: the news broke when we went to my family's for thanksgiving. we just started telling hubby's side a few days ago since i've been having complications from the pregnancy.
Miss Anything? SUSHI! Cold cuts from Jersey Mike's or Subway's. Bacon, cheese
Movement: felt movements early on (about 14 weeks). Baby's been having a ball using my bladder as a play tool.
Food cravings: I miss my usual saba (japanese mackeral), sake (salmon), scallops, oysters.
Anything making you queasy or sick: not digging onions or garlic right now. but loved them before.
Have you started to show yet: yes, although i'm considered quite small by american standards. i ate really healthy during my first pregnancy and still was bigger than I am now. this time around, i'm not really watching what i'm eating but am smaller at the 23 week mark. hmm, go figure.
Baby is a: a healthy boy
Belly Button in or out? innie thus far but expecting to pop out sooner than the last pregnancy
Wedding rings on or off? i haven't been able to wear my rings since the first child since it's hard to keep taking off and putting on the rings to wash hands and put lotions on while caring for baby.
Happy or Moody most of the time: i'm mostly happy and/or content. although my toddler does test my nerves often. i try to keep my emotions and words in check.
Looking forward to: having my pre-pregnancy body back (a toned slim body of 103lbs) and my boys loving to play with each other.

Missing you...
Whenever I see my Baby having such a happy, fun time playing with other kids my heart just melts. His happiness is everything to me. But, it would be so much better if he was having that sort of fun with his favorite cousins. Week after week, I see Baby wanting to play and interact with children around his cousins' age. He doesn't really connect with kids his age because of his fondness for and memories of his cousins. I know they are the center of his world. When I see him hugging his new found friend it tugs at my heart. Deep down I know Baby misses his "Bubbas".
My dear sis, please think of the children and let go of your inner demons / anger. Baby misses his cousins terribly.

Hello...Bye!
Busy life, busy wife.
Many things have come to pass; some good, some bad. But, for the most part, I'm still very happy with my life.
I recently had a minor disagreement with my sister and haven't seen or spoken to her since. Not by my choice by the way. It's been a long six weeks and I miss her. She and I are closest out of all my siblings. Le sigh. She tends to over-dramatize and over-play situations and I'm just gonna ride this out with her. She's always dictated what, how I should live my life and, for the most part, I allowed her to. But, now that I have a family of my own, the rules are now mine. Granted, Asian cultures usually have this "your business is my business since we're family" schtick. But, each family is different and one must respect the idea of a separate household. What's worse is that my son hasn't been able to hang with his favorite cousins. He's been constantly asking for them, wanting Facetime with them on his iPad and asking to call them daily. But alas, Auntie hasn't learned to release her anger. Poor babies. I would love to see my nephews too.
So, in the meantime, I've been bringing Baby to visit Gramps more often. My dad loves having a toddler to play with since I didn't have the opportunity to bring Baby around before. Baby would follow Gramps around as he's doing his chores (as you can see in the picture below).

So I leave you for now with this iPad-addicted boy of mine. Cheers.

M.I.A.
So where have I been for the past many weeks? No where. I've been mostly doing the same 'ol things. It's been very difficult to say the least to be the best mother (and wifey) I can be to my boys. Each and every day is pretty much set in its schedule and it's a whole new ball game if I deviate from it. I do try my very best to keep everyone happy and healthy while, many times, forgetting and foregoing my own needs. All in a day's work of a Mom. However, this 24/7 job does take its toll and every single minute I get to sit down and just let my mind and body rest is so very much appreciated. People not in this boat don't know what and how it feels to have every single minute of the day and night planned out for you, whether you have a migraine, hunger pains, or complete exhaustion. Even Moms need a break once in a while.
Damn, I'm tired. It's been rough with having all four of Baby's incisors cutting through his gum at the same time. Poor Baby. I feel awful for him since he doesn't know how to express his frustrations and pains. I've been getting 2-3 hours sleep at best and have been developing migraines and increased lower back pains. Even Dad is feeling the pinch.
On another note, I've been M.I.A. also from Twitter. Why? Well, besides the aforementioned, I just felt like I got too caught up with the whole social media thing. Besides, people don't really need to know what's going on each and every minute in my life, no matter how mundane or important. It defeats the purpose of me not having Facebook. Many times, I just think being on a social media channel borders self-promotion and just plain, showing off. "Look what I just got"...blah, blah, blah. Initially this blog was supposed to be my outlet of my happiness, epiphanies, frustrations and what nots but, recently, I found myself starting to peruse other wonderful, beautiful, colorful blogs and thought that I could do what they did. Heck, anyone can start right? True that, true that. After a while, I realized that I'm not the type of person to go-with-the-flow. I've always felt like I was an outsider who actually rather enjoys the view of the goings-on of others. In other words, I'm more of an Observer than a Participant. I'm not what you call a Troll or Stalker but rather someone who admires from afar. There's countless bloggers that I admire - their talent for words, beautiful pictures, chic-n-sassy styles, makeup and hair tutorials ...etc. However, truth is, I simply don't have the luxury of time or money to do the things I enjoy and read about from other people's blogs. I'd much rather save some of that money towards my next Chanel piece.
I love make-up just like every girl on Earth does. But, I have only one face. How much make-up does one need to look the way they want to everyday? For me, not much. I don't need to have 10-15-20 blushes sitting my make-up bag just waiting to be used a few times. I don't need palettes upon palettes of eyeshadow to be used just once. I mean, how many shades of taupe do you need - matte, shimmery, glitter, frost, Urban Decay version, Smashbox version, MAC version? I could understand 2-3 but 10-15-20? It gets ridiculous and expensive for a common person to have so much. In my opinion, it's a waste of your hard earned cash. It seems that it's a rat race to acquire or even have the means of acquiring as much makeup, clothes, trinkies, etc. Trying to one-up on others is not my cup of tea. But, each his or her own. Makeup Artists are pretty much the only people who are the exceptions.
I've been approached to promote this and that but advertorials are just not my thing. I thought it was but when you're asked to "honestly and positively" review a product, then that's not in my "honest" opinion. Positive reviews should be from what the reviewer thinks and not from the reviewer being "bought". I will give MY honest review only.
So, moving forward, this will be MY blog, whether you like it or not. I'm not after higher membership or readership. This is all about me, me, and me.
Peace out.

Grad Time!
So, as usual, I've been swamped with Mommy and Wifey duties since the last post. Hubs was working on the final weeks of his arduous project that demanded that he go to work hella early and come home waaaay late into the night. Basically, both me, son and dog didn't see Dada unless it was in our dreams. It was a tough last 6 weeks and now he's all ours again. Yay! I missed my darling Hubs and so did the boys.
He did a great job since he got a huge ovation from his Supervisors, Producers and Directors of the film on the last day of project. I'm so proud of him!!!
He got to come home early as well! We got to spend this past Friday as a family. So what better way to spend time with family than to attend my youngest brother's second graduation from USC (I'll explain that later). Baby got to see his favorite cousins, Uncles, Aunt and Grandma, along with Dada. My youngest brother also happens to be the Baby of all my siblings. There's ten (yes 10!!) of us! Of all of us, he takes the cake for having the most degrees under his belt. Over-achiever!
So after graduating from Undergrad school, he decided to get a Masters of Civil Engineering from USC. Moving forward 2 years, now he graduates with a Masters in Business Management "just in case". I'm so proud of him. But I also told him that "he's addicted to graduating".
So Baby absolutely loves his cousin B and T, especially B. When they first met, Baby bear hugged B and that pretty much sums up the times they hang out together. Inseparable is the word. B is a great "Big Bubba" to Baby too. Such a good role model. He's being honored in a local parade at the end of the month for his astounding academic accomplishments. His academic scores places him at an 11th grade level despite him being only in 4th grade!! I'm so proud of him too!
Now, onto pictures.....
Full house at the Galen Center.

Finally got his Diploma!

Baby wouldn't sit still so we had some fun running around and exploring Galen Center.

Baby absolutely loves his "Bubba B".

Here's the star of the night. Isn't he cute!

My outfit of the night. I wanted something that was comfy, warm and exuded classy and functional, with a pop of color for the festive event. By the end of the night, my feet had blisters the size of Texas. Never wear brand new shoes to a long event.

Grateful but still "hungry"...
So this is my first blog. Here goes.
As a first-time, stay-at-home mom, I cherish the moments I have with my baby and dog. I love them both dearly. They are the apples of my eye. I feel awful though for nor being able to spend more time and energy with my first baby...the four-legged one. He's such a good boy. I've had him since he was 10 weeks old and now he's a scruffy 3 year, 5-month old kisser. I only wish I could get a playmate for him. He would be so much happier. I also wish he could have a nice and roomy backyard to run around in. In due time. It's hard when hubby is now the only bread winner. I know it's hard on him too since I have a hard time curving my shopping habit. But, hey, I'm a girl and girls loooove to shop!
My 7.5 month old is simply a ball of joy to be with. Oh, but he has his moments. He's taught me to be less selfish and to think ahead. He's definitely great at keeping me in shape. I lost all the baby weight I gained (40+ lbs) and then some. I'm skinnier than I was before I got pregnant. Woo hoo! His eyes are what constantly reminds me to see things from his perspective. He grounds me. He humbles me. I love watching him play and explore his new world. I just want to keep him safe and happy for the rest of his life.
Hubby is THE greatest hubby ever!!! I don't know how he manages to deal with me but he does. It's like Taming of the Shrew. I was a lost, wild, untamable girl before I met him. He also grounds me. He humbles me. His heart is so pure of generosity, love, caring, hope, unselfish, etc.. I could go on about how wonderful of a man he is but I won't. I married him because I truly love him for who, how and what he is. Who is he? He's someone who I can see myself spending the rest of my life with. His natural talent in everything he does always and simply amazes me. How is he? No matter what goes on around him, he continues sure-footedly until he reaches his goal. To me, this means he's cautious and secure mentally and emotionally. He's like the Tortoise. He's my cute, sure-footed and happy-go-lucky Tortoise. I love him dearly. What is he? Simple. He's the love of my life. Everything he's gone through and done to get to where he is now defines the man that he is. Completely contrary to his father. I love him.
I am grateful for every little thing I have before me. Of course, being human, I crave for more than I can have...materialistically. I have a wonderful husband whom I absolutely adore. I have a very faithful dog that I cannot live without. And, I have my adorable baby boy that is the culmination of the love between hubby and I. I'm happy when each and every member in my home is happy. I live in a great beach side community. My condo is modern but ours. What more can I ask for? My life is great. These are things people living in dysfunctionality need and want. And knowing this is what reminds me to be grateful everyday. I only am "hungry" for materialistic things. Really expensive things...Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Pedro Garcia, Louboutins... Bad girl! That's the only vice hubby has to constantly remind me of. And, of course, my inner voice listens to him...for a little while. Then she starts talking to me again. It's like the horns retract then emerge intermittently. I gotta get my fix once in a while. Being a stay-at-home mom gets boring. Even though I've got alot of things to do. To the point where the day passes by quickly and my first meal of the day is at 5:00pm.
All in all, I love my life, my awesome hubby, beautiful baby and faithful dog. I am complete.
